Another Challenge quiz question I can't make headway with: If Lerwick and Taunton are Greek and Bath and Northampton explosive, then which two places are the same? Any hints/nudges are appreciated.

Bit further on than that jim
I haven't read all the posts but is it to do with postcodes?
Maybe too many poorly coded hints from me. I'll zip it now.
Start at the beginning - imagine you are addressing a letter to Lerwick Town Hall.
I'd look up their email address :P
LErwick + tauntON = LEON
BAth + nottiNGham = BANG
first two letters plus sixth & seventh in second location
SPOILER ALERT (Don't scroll if you don't want my suggested solution, no idea whether it's right)

OK, to put you out of your agony,

Postal codes - Lerwick = ZE Taunton = TA ZETA greek letter

Bath = BA Nottingham = NG BANG is explosive

Now try Swansea and Medway and you get SA ME
sigh
Not what I did corbyloon- simpler than that if you address it properly
My sigh was at Jim.
This question seems to use the same context as an earlier one posted by Ramires7. There are various 4-letter words meaning "the same" but none seem to work, so I reckon "same" is the word giving the answer.
Okay canary's sung now.
That's what I got but wasnt sure 'the same ' was 'same'
Got it! Very clever.
Edinburgh? West London Telford?
Now, it's clear it's postcodes BUT my way also satisfies the clues since LEON was a giant in Greek mythology.
Ha jim, just got yours EH, WT...
This mainly shows just how rusty I am on cryptics. Postcodes ought to be a staple.
I'm surprised no MENSA members with IQs of 150 have managed to answer this one yet:

I can remember three-alpha postcodes - but only in Norfolk (where I lived at the time) and I seem to remember Croydon was the other trial area. Our postcode was NORxxx (I can't remember what xxx was, I think it was 2 numeric 1 alpha). Anyway the result of the trial morphed into the current system, and we Norfolk residents had to re-learn our postal codes :-(
I picked up on the BA NG clue seen, LE ON in the same positions, Googled 'Leon Greek' and it turns out Leon was a giant in Greek mythology (never heard of him).
