I watched this earlier, eleanor.
Heart breaking to see him looking like this. He's been through a lot with operations on his back and nerve damage. Can hardly hold a drum stick now. I see his son is the drummer now.

He's 70 & it sounds like he turned to the bottle as a way of alleviating some troublesome physical problems but it's just aggravated them.

True Ken. When a musician can't play anymore, it must be devastating. The same as anyone passionate enough over something they are not able to do anymore.

For around 18 months in the mid-70s, he was IMO the greatest drummer in rock music, though A-H will no doubt be along soon to correct me. I'm very lucky to have seen the band at their height, both with Peter Gabriel and Phil Collins as singer.

I don't have a ticket for their forthcoming tour...
