Back in my college days, my mate was doing his teaching practice in a school located right next to a cemetery. He was a massive guy, with a very forceful personality and when, during music lessons, he demanded that the kids should sing, he made sure that they all belted it out with maximum volume.
One day he'd got the kids half way through a song, with all of the windows in the classroom open as it was a hot day, when he looked out of a window to see a funeral taking place right next door to his classroom. It was only then that it dawned upon him that the mourners might not have appreciated the very loud musical accompaniment to the service, particularly as the kids were belting out "John Brown's body lies a-moldering in the grave . . . "
