New Suite Again

well a wee update on my "woke" suite which has not woken yet LOL.

I first posted here on 17 August and whilst I really find the wee man/owner extremely personable and pleasant - he hasn't visited me to measure up.

I gave him a couple of weeks and rang him last week - he answers right away and says - oh would you ring me tomorrow and remind me - I do that and he has said the same thing - you know I was to ring him today about 4 pm and because of the scenario - I couldn't be bothered.

Would you give up too - like ringing like that.

I still like that suite in Scotland and have also got van and driver who will pick it up in Glasgow and deliver it to my door. But it is thinking will it be a mistake.

Anyone that behaved in that manner doesn’t deserve the business.
I also think it’s a huge mistake buying a sofa from another country and all the complications that go with it if something is wrong with it.

If he is so unreliable before the order is confirmed he is going to be worse when the deal is sealed. Walk away.

In my limited experience upholsterers are some of the most unreliable tradesmen imaginable!

it is just I wanted in looks - the cushions are foam (have to pay extra for that) but that's ok - the rest is fibre filled.

I never knew that Davebro - but know now. I'm starting to feel like a bit of a dimwit having to ring so no more ringing.

The guy (plumber) who fixed the toilet last Saturday and who I had to leave in the house - is just after phoning me there asking if everything was alright. I call that good service.

thanks RedHelen - that suite and the others that are like that with the puffy arms are electric and recliners and I don't want that - I have seen them myself in Oakfurniture. And I also don't want leather and that is what I find the "puffy" arms seem to be in the leather suites. I find leather too cold and so wanted the fabric - but thanks for looking.

sat on that too - the corduroy - it is like sitting on a bunch of papers. Now you can see I have looked around

I find leather much warmer and cleaner than fabric. Are you sure you don't want leather?
