Good evening, I’m stuck on 2,3,4 and 5. Help would be kindly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

In a Cryptic Connections puzzle, five cryptic crossword clues must be solved; their answers can be made from the list of letters given underneath. Once all the clues have been solved, some letters will be unused; these can be arranged to give a word or phrase that links the answers to the five clues.

1 Composer to include European strand (5) FIBRE
2 Current restaurant worker? Not current! (5)
3 Girl upset with this gesture could be lawgiver (4)
4 Cold green lake is flatter (5)
5 Base where Torvill and Dean go after performance? (6)

It might be like your earlier one - nul points!
Your 1 is wrong - I think it's beach, strand. Bach, composer, with E, European, inside.
2- long shot CHIEF (I current in chef)
5 Office, base - Off Ice (Torvill and Dean being skaters).
agree with BEACH. I never heard of a composer called FIBR
Thanksm Bobbinwales - and Beach would mean your Chief wouldn't work as there is only one H. (I am paying attention, Matakari had words with unavailable letters last time.)
4 Crawl, flatter, verb. C +Raw +L, lake.
the worker one may end in ant
2 Water, current - taking the I, current from Waiter, restaurant worker.
Water is perfect. Does that leave
A E F N O R T V W?
3 Wave - take the letters of 'girl' from lawgiver.

Matakari, do you want to unscramble the leftover letters? I know what it is, but you might like trying that bit!
Theres only one word from those remaining letters
Yes, it's pretty straightforward now...!
Hopefully matakari will be at the head of the queue to answer it now

Thanks, all for the great help! For 2, I saw "water", but could not get the parsing. I will enjoy unscrambling the leftover letters, NACW. Many thanks again for the comprehensive parsing!
Thanks, Matakari - unscrambling the letters should take seconds. I saw the link first and then confirmed it!

PS How were you getting Fibre to work? I've been trying all sorts of things...
Question Author
NACW, I was looking at "fibre" as a definition for strand and it is also French, but the definition is obviously "composer". I did not see the connection "strand"/"beach".
Thanks, Matakari - all I could come up with was that Fibre could mean, maybe tenuously, strand ... and absolutely nothing to do with anything else in the clue!
//but the definition is obviously "composer"//
It looks like the definition was strand asin seashore/beach.

Assume youve got the link now and sorted the anagram of the 5 lettters left?
Thanks for that, Bobbinwales -I hoped Matakari would realise later that he'd got that bit wrong too! He is bound to have got the link ord... well, I hope he has.
