Hi Emmie it was lovely to meet you just so sorry it was so brief as I said to you we were at least half an hour late due to loads of roadworks ,when we got to the Eye they changed us to do the river cruise first then the eye ,I’d never survive living there haha ,it’s wild x
Pasta , it was an amazing experience that I’d say exceeded all expectations,
Sadly only a few minutes LB as our schedule was so tight, I’m still on the coach and just coming into Durham, I think Emmie did recognise me by my former avatar
Oh and the pods on the eye don’t stop you’ve to hop straight on one when it comes round, we found our two selves sharing one with seven orthodox young Jewish men who sat in the middle and opened a Tesco carrier bag and were eating their lunches and shouting at each other in what I presume was Yiddish , this was in a small pod which went as high as 36 Double decker busses , I broke the deadlock by saying to them Shalom and asked if they wanted their photo taken as a group against the backdrop , they accepted , gone was the Yiddish and instead was cheeeeese , happy days :0)))
Hi Bobbi, I’m sooooo pleased - and relieved - that you enjoyed the concert. I’m always so reluctant recommend - but so pleased that this time it worked. I bet you’re knacked!
I’m very tired but so happy Naomi,I took loads of videos ,my favourite being Land of Hope and Glory , in-fact they were all fantastic ,, Swan Lake,Nabucco, Jerusalem , I’m still buzzing , I can’t thank you enough x
I will thank you , I’m happily telling Mr B all about it ,I seriously could not live in London, the prices are !!!
We went in a little pub on Earls Court Road, I asked for a double vodka and Diet Coke and double pink gin and tonic ( well we were out to have fun) £19-60 ! Yikes! I paid the. We had a large glass of wine each in the interval at the RAH, £25 !!! My sil paid , ouch !! Haha
I so remember the London of my youth. I loved it, such fun. Such lovely people. Oh how it has changed! So glad I am now country bumpkin, but I am secretly proud to be a Londoner of old.
Glad you enjoyed yourself. I can't face London any more! It's just so different.
Very different for us Northerners Pat, waiting to get in the RAH in a small queue for a security check, a very tall distinguished looking man was coughing loudly and constantly behind me , we wore mask ( our choice) I turned and asked if he would mind covering his mouth when he was coughing, I don't need to came his reply, I’m outside ….in a very plummy hooray Henry accent !!
