Here's a bit of banter Pat aka Lottie. I started knitting a jumper for a boyfriend ( in the 60's) but we ended things before I finished it, but I carried on knitting it, and fortunately it fitted my next boyfriend. :-)

Barsel. I spent ages knitting a sweater for hubby and it would have fitted the incredible hulk!!!! Still in a drawer somewhere!!

Good idea! Hubby is a lot slimmer now than he was back in the 70s when unknotted it. It will have t shrink a lot!!!

There is a bit of knitting mythology you shouldn't knit a sweater for a boyfriend as the relationship will end before the sweater wears out. My knitting isn't that good I prefer doing super chunky throws and hats. I like embroidery though I find it meditative.
