I just picked up a copy of the Radio Times covering the Christmas period. Seems they only include the stuff from 18th December to 31st December now and expect us to pay £5.25 for the privilege. In previous years, they've included New Year's day. I left it on the shelf. They aren't making a mug of me. It's daylight robbery. Any comments?

I haven't bought one in years. Can't see the point when I have Sky which tells me the next 7 days worth of telly.
Love it!
Radio Times runs from Saturday to Friday inc. - it would depend on what day the festivities fell on really.

At least they haven't charged double money for a double issue.

The same ass Mozz. I'm with Bell, and I get a 7 day listing for all channels on my computer. I haven't bought any kind of paper TV guide for years.
The Radio Times always covers a Saturday to Friday period, with the Christmas issue simply having two consecutive such periods in it.

Nothing has changed this year; it's just that Christmas Day being on a Saturday makes things a bit awkward for the publishers. If they included New Year's Day, they'd then get complaints from people who bought the following regular issue about the fact that they were only getting new programme listings for 6 days instead of 7 (because New Year's Day would be in both issues).
Oops. that should be "as" not "ass":)
I've been called "lame ass Mozz" before Sanmac, but not "same ass". Lol ;-)
Get "TV CHOICE" for £1.50!
Buy one of today's tabloids and get a Christmad TV guide free.
The cost of buying Radio Times for a year is greater than the cost of a TV licence. In other words it can cost you more to see what's going to be broadcast than to actually watch the programmes.
I am a subscriber and still waiting for my copy by post
Kogvos - we got ours yesterday.
I think I saw an advert that said all the Xmas tv would be in the sun today
Puzzled // the Xmas tv would be in the sun//
That's okay if you have a powerful telescope.
the programmes i'm likely to want to watch over the christmas period could be printed on a postcard . . .
Last Sunday's Sunday Express had a Xmas programs pull-out. Never bought the RT.
We like Radio Times...not only the best listings for TV/streaming etc but also decent radio listings too, including full info on Radio 3.
I took out a subscription a month ago...six months for £65 - but with a £50 John Lewis giftcard "gift" for new subscribers. So, six months mags for £15.
I'm also a subscriber, have been for years - it all depends what you want from a publication whether something suits you or nnot.
