3 people pay £100 each for a hotel room - when they arrive the reception realise they should have had a promotion 3 rooms for £250..... Receptionist take 5 x £10 notes to issue the refund but has no change - He gives each person £10 each and pockets the £20 hoping they won't notice..... So if each is refunded £10 each they have paid £90 x 3 = £270 - the receptionist pockets his £20....which makes £290 ..... where is the other £10
This should be so simple but I just can't see it..... help stop me going insane!!!
Yes do'nt add apples and oranges.
Started with 500. Hotel has 250 , guests have 30 and dodgy receptionist has 20. All add's up.
Your mixing adding and taking away..... take the 20 from the 270 paid and you have 250
