Acronyms

Why is it considered acceptable to accept the use of acronyms such as 5C (fifth columnist), TROB (the right on brigade), TROP (the religion of peace), and so on?
Such usages are obviously aimed at avoiding censure as provocative phrases. They are also cowardly, as their users try to hide their meanings from newcomers, whilst emitting dog- whistles to those in the know.
If some of these terms were spelled out honestly, I suspect they might be frowned on by Mods.

I see no problem with them, or their full meanings.
I think the idea that they are there to fool new members is stretching somewhat, they can ask for translation as I did.
I think it's just TTT saving time when posting, and nothing more or less than that.

I think that calling people who disagree with your views "Fifth Columnists" is rude, aggressive, designed to insult and annoy without any rational addition to a discussion. Classic fit to the definition of trolling.
I seem to remember the use of the word "trader" being objected to by a mod. 5C is more or less the same meaning as "Trader".

Oh, behave, Kardashev.....LoL
TTT uses his acronyms and mockney rhyming slang because it both reflects and reinforces his levels of 'smug'.
He doesn't use them to keep newcomers in the dark, although it would certainly have that effect and quite possibly dissuade them from contributing more.
But whatever username he is employing, it has never stopped him from using industrial levels of hyperbole, bombast and his own peculiar mangling of the English language.
