Phone Disconnects From Home Wifi And Won't Reconnect.

My phone is a Sony Xperia 10 III trying to connect to my Virgin Media router.
So initially my phone will connect to my home router with no problems.
I go out for a while and when I come back home later, it won't reconnect.
I click “network and internet” . The WiFi switch is toggled “on” and it says “not connected”. I click on “WiFi” and it says “searching for networks”. The circle just keeps going round and round and no networks show up, even though I know that usually it’ll pick up about 4 networks. Now I know that if I reboot my phone, the issue will be resolved, but I shouldn’t have to keep rebooting my phone every time I want to reconnect to my home WiFi.
When I go into “WiFi” and scroll down to the bottom, I then click on “WiFi data usage”. In there is a graph and it says I’ve used 5.93 GB, but the graph rises up to 100% and levels off - it looks as though my limit for WiFi usage is 5 GB and it might be not letting me access WiFi as I’ve reached my limit.
Ideally I’d like to remove this WiFi limit, but I can’t seem to find where ….. but what I have done is gone into my WiFi network by selecting it from the list, then I click on “advanced” and then I click on “network usage” and change it from “detect automatically”" to “treat as unmetered”. I was hoping this might fix things but it's still the same.

I'm guessing that this plateau is when the problem first started and no WiFi has been used since - hence the plateau.
But the problem persists, which is fixed when I reboot my phone .... but if I go out and come back I'm back to square one and can't connect to my home router .... unless I reboot my phone again ....

Until you've found a solution though, a quicker workaround (compared to rebooting your phone) is likely to be turning on Airplane Mode, waiting just a moment or two and then turning it back on again. That's solved wi-fi connection problems for me (even if only temporarily) many times on Android phones.
