Over the last weekend did a gig in his (our) home
town of Stoke on Trent.
The gig sold out over 20,000 tickets, bought a LOT of much needed revinue to local
businesses (eateries, pubs etc) and all proceeds from his gig went to local childrens charities.
(He received nothing)
And all the comments on the local press website were demonising him for a few swear words during his performance.......
What is up with people?
Anyone whose familiar with Robbie, knows to expect a few expletives during one of his performances.
The guy bought a whole lot of money into a rundown town, donated his time/fees to local kids charity's and gave 20,000 people a night to remember....
But he said the F word a few times?????
I despair at some peoples logic.

I'm not a great fan of his solo music but he has never hidden the fact he is proud of coming from Stoke. I'm not a fan of swearing either but to a lot of people now it's just part of their vocabulary so I live with it. Good on you, Robbie, I hope Stoke is proud of you.

I'm afraid thats the way of the world these days, a minority offended over nothing make a huge noise, usually via TwitFace and the media think they represent everyone.
Short of stopping TwitFace et al (go Elon!) I'm not sure how it will change.
Well done Robbie I say, 20K is a bit short of his Knebworth gig! Shows he still has his feet on the ground.

Doubt he's ever going have another number one but neither are the Stones or The Who but can still draw thousands.
(Tickets were limited BTW, could of easily drawn more people given the right venue)
