Truss has been schooled by her time with Johnson. He was a master at introducing a policy without thinking it through, and then having to make a U-turn. Looks like more of the same of that whoever wins.

It has been cogently argued that Sunak is a lot closer to having a Thatcherite view of the economy than Truss.
Thatcher like Sunak was from a family of shopkeepers, who believed in not spending beyond ones means.
Anyway, it is possibly time the "Thatcher" fixation was downplayed I suspect. By whoever.

I don't really hold much store by either of these facts it has to be said, but I think the Thatcher comparison in the case of Truss is based more on superficiality.
