Well done. It took me all six guesses to get it.
5 for me
Question Author
I always begin with the word RAISE using some of the five most common letters followed by the exact word that is todays correct answer so it was pure luck that that just happened to be todays correct answer. So every day I start with those two words utilising all the vowels from the second guess. From then I almost always get it right in five.
Third go for me
"erupt" & "adios" have always been my first two, and we see where we go from there

well done in getting the answer in 2

; ))
I got it in three
I got it at 3. Didn’t get a single letter at line 1.
Three for me !!
2 for me
nope couldn't get todays.
3 for me, but this thread did give a clue.
did it, then it bypassed me...
Thanks for the spoiler :-/
I always think if I get it quickly it is luck whereas if it takes me to last couple of lines than it's skill as I've had to use the clues about available letters.
I agree, Prudie, unless it's one of those words where one letter is interchangeable many times - such as least, feast, yeast, beast - then that is down to luck, too, even on the last go
If the first word is ever 'adieu', then - BINGO!

If the second word is ever 'sport', then - YAY!

I do sometimes get it in 3, though - way to go!
Ken, I start with the same two words on Wordle, Quordle and Octordle. I have probably played hundreds of games and I'm still waiting for my first word to come up.
It will happen one day
I vary it a bit but often start with STORY & then maybe ADIEU. STORY gave me a good start today!
I have a variety of first words to use.
Because non of them help much,
