I see seven vehicles excluding the motorcyclist at the front, and I realise Princess Anne is in the second car. Who are the occupants of the trailing five cars? I am guessing mostly various security details but could there be also other officials who are pertinent to the Scottish part of the journey?

There's the Minister of Crathie Church and a representative of the Lord Chamberlain's Office as well as Princess Anne's husband .Seems too few for that many cars though. Might be more detail after they arrive?

I have friends in Edinburgh and they are saddened by her loss.

Six hours seems a long time when every slip road and junction is closed for them.
Edinburgh to Aberdeen is generally about two hours on a normal day.

Add a bit to get from the sticks to the dual carriageway and motorway.

Isn’t it odd that mirth has a habit of sneaking in even at the most sombre moments? My television subtitles have just told me that Her Majesty’s coffin has been accompanied to Edinburgh by the Princess Royal, Prince Edward, and Vince Andrew. Who he then? :o)

As the SNP policy was to have the Queen as Queen of Scots after independence, the response was to to be expected.
