Good morning twix and haras, all well I hope, and well done twix, very fast off the mark !!

Twix - do you still have snow ?
H Steff. No snow in North Kent thankfully, it all melted within a few hours a week before Christmas. Now it is just miserable, rain bands keep sweeping in from the West, interspersed with some sunny periods.

How are you keeping, and is your garden now in a reasonable shape or is the windy weather causing chaos?
Question Author
Can I have some of your rain, please twix ?

I’m fine but we’re in for a hot spell, 37d over the weekend and into the 30’s through next week …..first case of severe sunburn for a pair of youngsters this week ….hospital for them …..doesn’t bode well for the rest of summer !!

I’ve come to the opinion I really can’t afford to pour gallons of water onto the lawns …I know keeps the house cool and all the other arguments but I feel it’s too wasteful and water such a precious commodity I shall have to put up with weeds. :(
I'll have to ask my cousin in Sydney to send you some. I believe they've had flooding around there in the last couple of months! ;-)

My lawns virtually died during the heat we had last summer. At least it saved using the lawnmower for quite some time!
Question Author
Oh just a bit, twix ….he’d know all about flooding !!

I can’t get my head around parts of the UK being so dry that lawns would die off ….weather has gone crazy :)
