I am baffled by the connection between the authors, having identified them all.
All , with exception of one publish books using 2 initials, rather than forenames, the other a single initial. Surely, if initials were the connection, authors with other single initials would have be included?
Wondered perhaps whether answer is to do with the genre of literature, or have I missed something else?
Would appreciate suggestions for any other connection, please

No, it's just that they use initials instead of their first names.

I searched for some time trying to answer this question and eventually found one reference that E Nesbit was also referred to E S Nesbit. So connection (I believe) is that they all have 2 initials
