Masked Singer

I really enjoy the Masked Singer but I have now got to the point where I have to stop watching it. I cannot stand any more of Davina McCall's incessant and irritating screeching. She is on her feet at the earliest opportunity and then its 'yeah scream scream scream'
Enough, I'm done. What do you think? Am I alone in this or should I persevere.

i hate all the obviously rehearsed/filmed afterwards gasps from all of them and "who is it/who are you" and other comments, and all the silly gueses from Jonathon Ross. And is Rita Ora still wearing some distracting outfits?

I'm totally with you on this Paul. But it seems to be the norm to screech and scream these days. But she's the worst offender.

It would be great to watch a show where the audience just clapped loudly!

I found myself watching it about 6 weeks ago...its not really my thing. I kept at it until last week when I just couldn't be bothered. Way too OTT.

I've never watched that, Paul but I know just what you mean.
I love Dancing on Ice but the screaming is beyond annoying.

Slightly different but just as annoying is unnecessary music.
We have, for years, enjoyed Nationwide in Ireland. A lovely, diverse programme.
For the last few weeks loud music is accompanying every part of the programme. Crafts folk showing us their work being made. Naturalists or historians exploring Ireland. All difficult to hear because of the loud "background" music played over them.

I tried it when it first started, but as I had no idea who the panel were, or who they were suggesting as contestants I didn’t bother watching any more.

I used to enjoy this when it first came out, but I'm bored with it now! I don't mind Davina's OTT reactions, but I'm finding it harder and harder to guess who they are (although I did get Lulu) and then when the mask comes off I'm thinking 'who are you ....'. I think I do more fast forwarding than actual watching now, but I am keen to know who Phoenix and Rhino are - hope I've heard of them!

I always feel a bit cheated by the clues. When they explain them they wouldn't have helped anyone, they are so cryptic and obscure.

I agree Hopkirk, they often relate to a time way back in the celeb's past when we hadn't even heard of them, so how on earth would we know who it was about?

I feel a bit cheated when I've invested time and effort and am 'sure' i know who it is but when the mask comes off i dont even know who they are.

I’m still pretty sure the judges are gives a heads up as to who it is……….
