Heads Up For The K M Players
29 Answers
Yet again the Telegraph has failed to come to the party so I’ll be reliant on someone posting the clues etc when they can ....
Regrettably this will have to be the end of the Links games ....from this participant. Having to be reliant on a third party makes it too unwieldy for me to continue, though I do hope someone will take on the role.
Anyway let’s just get through this weekend and see what happens

Hi Steff.
You've lost me! Do you mean that you've signed up to the Telegraph site or to the download site that I linked to for you to get the crossword?
If it's the latter, you don't need to sign up to anything. You should see something like this on your screen: https:/ /postim g.cc/ZB LM1pxT
All you need to do then is to click the lefthand 'Download' button, which allows you to download the pdf document to the location of your choice.
Irrespective of whether you've gone to the Telegraph site or to the download site though, I've absolutely no idea where 'health and fitness' comes into it anyway. (I'm not too great when it comes to 'health' and I gave up on 'fitness' years ago!)
;-)

Hi Chris …..I tried to download the site you gave me, finished up having to register etc and wound up in a ‘fitness’ site which scared the pants off me !!
I’ll resume the battle with the Telegraph on Monday though I don’t like my chances ….last count, it hadn’t sunk in I was in Australia and gave me a local hot line to call in on ….I wasn’t impressed :(

Ignore the fact that you (unnecessarily) signed up to Easyupload.io. Simply click here https:/ /easyup load.io /4976p4
and then click the 'ordinary' 'Download' button (i.e. not the 'Turbo' download one). You can then save the crossword file to wherever you like on your computer (unless you've got your browser configured to automatically choose 'Downloads', or some other file location, as the place to send all downloads too). It's really easy, honestly!
With regard to the Telegraph, are you subscribed to the actual newspaper (so that you can read all of the news and features) or just to the Telegraph Puzzles site? What actually happens when you try to access the site? (i.e. what error message, if any, do you see?)

Isn’t it time you and the furries were in bed ??
Ok let’s start with the Telegraph ….last year I subscribed to the paper then paid the monthly fee to download the crosswords.
This year tried to renew …..sub went through ok but monthly fee wouldn’t, using same card, which had been updated. Each time I tried to log in, it wanted money then said payment couldn’t be processed.
Checked with my bank, they said all ok, but that there had been a delay with money going through but just usual transactions
Then some crowd called worldpay chipped in ??? I’ve not used them intentionally but there they were, telling me there were probs with payment.
Then I contacted the Telegraph and that’s when it got silly ….did I have a sub?? What was my number ?? and it hasn’t got much better ….I mean, why would they give me a fresh case no. each time there’s contact ?? for f…sake, how do they keep track of anything ??
Ok rant over ….thanks for trying to help, I think I’ve probably stuffed up somewhere but that’s typical, I’m good at that…..it’ll sort itself out somehow. Xx

OK, all understood now (I think!), Steff.
It's clearly a problem with the payments system then, rather than, say, with your web browser (which, until I read your post, seemed to be a possibility).
WorldPay is simply an international payments system, which is used by many businesses (including, it seems, the publishers of the Telegraph).
Did you manage to download the crossword from my link?

Back again ..... to answer last question first ... not yet, I’m going to try on my laptop tomorrow & see how that pans out.
Apparently the Telegraph doesn’t use world pay anymore ....I wasn’t aware they used it at all...so maybe that’s where the problem is, who knows ...I’d like to actually speak to someone but think that’s unlikely :(
If twix is able to post the answers early tomorrow morning then I can get the scoring done in the time frame I’ve set for it...Monday can be very hectic here which makes the situation rather difficult but hopefully we’ll get there ...thanks again for all your help, much appreciated xx

Hi Steff, I doubt that I’ll be able to post early tomorrow morning. I didn’t get any sleep last night as I had to get Mrs. T up early this morning for a procedure at our hospital today. I’ve only just logged on to post my guesses to the links, then it’s off to the land of nod. Sorry about that. Perhaps one of the early birds can do the honours this week.
Hope that you get things sorted out with the Telegraph soon.
