Azed 2655 - Last One
1 Answers
This is a peculiar crossword in the fact there is no clue to solve in the usual manner. All answers a real words.
Each clue is a passage from which the printer has removed a hidden answer, closing the gap, and sometimes taking liberties with the punctuation, but not disturbing the order of the letters
E.g. Vaulting above tunnel entrance appears inane, scary.
Answer PESTO
because - Vaulting above tunnel entrance appears in an escaPE STOry
31a Forming part of their crest, sagged with heraldic devices (8)
I have IRON?se?
It has to be ironised, or ironises - but I cannot see how it fits
Many thanks
