Hello again!

I'm posting a little late this evening, as my 'short' mid-afternoon nap turned into a 5-hour one ;-)

I scored my usual 'middling' FOUR out of seven on the main quiz this week:
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-66258273

I could only manage a 'pathetic' ONE out of five in the junior quiz though :(
https://www.bbc.co.uk/newsround/51318780

I achieved a 'decent' SIX out of ten in the Timed Teaser though. (It should have been seven, as I actually knew the musician, but I clicked too soon!):

So, if my maths skills are correct (which they might well not be, as I used to teach the subject!), that's an aggregate score of 11 for me. You can beat that, can't you?

Hi, Sam.

I continue to struggle along, thank you. I hope that you're doing a bit better than me though ;-)

Welcome to the Elegant Eleven Club!
4/7,3/5,4/10. First 4 right on first quiz then downhill from there. Puss Puss enjoying the slightly better weather, Bailey still just wondering when the next bit of food might be available. Hope all is good with you and yours

Another new member of the Elegant Eleven Club! Welcome, Campbellking!

Bailey is clearly like Chequers, who's always looking for food ;-)
[He's also been demanding loads of fuss lately, which is totally endearing but frequently inconvenient!]

I managed to sneak some flea tablets inside some chicken for Moonbeam and Tablo but, as always, Chequers noticed the tablet and wouldn't touch it. (I'm not too bothered though, as it's poor little Moonbeam who has a really big skin problem when there are fleas around, whereas they hardly ever seem to jump onto Chequers anyway).

I hope that you and yours are all well.
Good evening, hope you feel refreshed after your nap. A pathetic
2 for the first one an even more pathetic 1 for the kids and 7 for the timed so that wasn't too bad. Aggregate of 10 so not too far behind you. No help from the grandsons this week, I managed to do badly all by myself.
Hope your cats are well, one of ours has just knocked a, luckily almost empty, glass of whisky off the coffee table. He is in trouble!
It got better after a poor start, 2, 3 and 7.

Hi, Roo!

Thank you for allowing me to beat you this week ;-)
[You need to get your grandsons back!]

Your cat clearly decided that your drink simply didn't meet his high standards ;-)

Well done, Milo2! You're out in the lead at the moment!
4/7 v 2/7
1/5 v 2/5
6/10 v 5/10 Not even double figures :-(
Missed the fun last time due to terrific , albeit torrential weekend in Devon...
Shady was 17 on Wednesday, celebrated with "proper" fish (haddock) and a new discovery called Crispies - he loves them even more than Dreamies. Didn't realize that he shares his birthday with such august persons of this parish !
Do hope you and the trio are doing OK
Good Evening, Chris!
Still on hols and enjoying glass of wine back at holiday cottage, so scores a bit haphazard this week, plus got timed out on a few on the timed teasers which didn't help!
4/7, 4/5, 3/10
Have been having absolutely wonderful time here in Wales with family. Scenery is breathtaking!! Just the break we all needed.
Wishing you and the kitty trio a wonderful week ahead also
:-)

Good evening, Haras2 & Shady!

At least you managed to avoid any total disasters this week anyway ;-)

I'm pleased that Shady had an enjoyable birthday. (My lot like Felix Crispies too but we always seem to come back to Dreamies as their favourite treats apart, of course, from fresh-cooked chicken!)

They're all well and I'm managing to struggle along, thank you. I hope that you and Shady are both in fine fettle and that Shady will have many more birthdays.

Hi, Karamia!

Welcome to the Elegant Eleven Club!
(That Timed Teaser quiz is a real devil, isn't it?)

I'm pleased that you're enjoying your holiday.

Thanks for mentioning wine! You've reminded me that I finally got around to spending a gift card from my birthday yesterday in Majestic Wine. I've now got three bottles of this to try
https://www.majestic.co.uk/wines/definition-rioja-blanco-14777
and three of this
https://www.majestic.co.uk/wines/chapel-down-bacchus-35049
(I love the Bacchus grape. It's gorgeous!)

Thanks for your good wishes. I hope that you have a wonderful week too!
Probably not a good idea this week - back soon...
Knew it :-)
