Bbc Quiz : Week 34
23 Answers
[Sorry I'm posting late tonight. I've been trying to multi-task and failing miserably at it!]
Hi, all.
Yet another week has flown by, I see!
A rather lowly THREE out of seven got me off the mark in the main quiz this week:
https:/ /www.bb c.co.uk /news/w orld-66 599578
I did rather better in the kids’ quiz though, with FOUR out of five:
https:/ /www.bb c.co.uk /newsro und/513 18780
I finished off with a ‘decent enough’ (in my opinion) score of SIX out of ten in the speed event:
https:/ /www.bb c.co.uk /news/w orld-us -canada -665717 02
So that’s an aggregate of 13 for me. You can beat that though, can’t you?

Was late myself coming onto AB tonight as I only just realised that Channel 5 is showing a Susan Calman programme from when she visited Cleethorpes Beach and it is all a 10 minute walk from my doorstep. I am going to watch on Channel 5+1 to watch from beginning. Who knows, I may even be on there!!
Wishing you and the kitties a wonderful week ahead :-)

Hi, Karamia.
Thanks for allowing me to beat you by just a single point this week ;-)
The steam rally looks very much the big one that's held just up the road from me, in Woolpit every year. It's a good day out, although one year's rally can seem very much like the previous year's one.
Cleethorpes? I know it well - or, at least, I used to! In the days when I lived in Sheffield, and didn't drive, Cleethorpes was by far the easiest seaside place to get to by train, so I visited it often in the summer months. The station end was very grotty but the seafront became an absolute delight once one walked past the (now long gone) Winter Gardens.
Please don't tell Moonbeam, Tablo and Chequers that I said so but I think the puppy is totally gorgeous :-)
I hope that you'll have a lovely bank holiday weekend and a fine week to follow.

Full marks, Kwillmott!
- for consistency, that is ;-)
Well done on achieving some solid scores this week.
Hiya, Sam!
Not too bad, anyway ;-)
I feel fine, thank you, but I'll wait to the consultant phones me on Tuesday to find out if I'm actually anywhere close to 'well' ;-)
I hope that you're fighting fit and that you'll have a good week ahead of you.

Hi, Jourdain2.
It's good to see you posting, especially in these troubled times for you.
Your scores are far better than some people reports here quite often and your 5/10 on the ever-tricky Timed Teaser is actually quite impressive. So treat yourself to another glass of prosecco (or another mug of cocoa, if that's your preference) and congratulate yourself on staying well clear of any disasters within your scores this week :-)

At the moment, Buen, it may be a mug of whisky! Now younger daughter has rung this evening (foul ex-husband arguing about kids) and she was verging on suicidal so I have to drive over there (60 miles - bank holiday!) tomorrow. OH says he's looking forward to buying himself proper fish & chips, bless him! All a bit pear-shaped so thanks for your cheery words. :) x
Yes, Canary42, it would be very hard for an adult (and, I suspect, for most kids too) to get the big dipper question wrong! Other than that though, you're definitely not very childlike this week, it seems ;-)
(At least your other scores were quite respectable, anyway!)
Hi, Lie-in King!
Well done on being an almost perfect grown-up this week! (Well done too, of course, of taking up your usual position in the lead!)

At least you're a near-perfect kid this week, Haras2 ;-)
Nothing much changes here:
Tablo just gets bossier than ever. Moonbeam just gets clingier than ever. Chequers just gets more affectionate than ever. I just get dafter than ever. Life goes on as normal ;-)
I'm glad to hear that the wonderful Shady's fine, as I hope that you are too.

Late on parade again today, I can't believe it's the weekend again. 4,3,5 aggregate of 12 this week. You've beaten me, chico. I have to say most of my answers were just good guesses.
We've discovered another cat has turned up, it's the spitting image of our Charley but slightly smaller. Fortunately, he's in good nick, doesn't look like a stray. Four and a half cats is enough ( one has partly moved in next door, they have a wood burner obviously preferable to radiators).
