Be anti Tory by all means but at least know what you are voting for:

Sir Beer failed to prosecute Jimmy Saville:

Sir Ed Davey backed the PO in ruining thousands of lives:

Normally the lefties would be rounding on the fawlty  Knights and backing the commoner. How strange these days that is reversed!

Starmer was shocked when he realised the boss wasn't being informed about controversial cases, so he reformed the CPS. This sounds to me like someone who knows failure whe he sees it and does something about it. Sunak would just have given everyone peerages.

"Another person who worked closely with Starmer at the CPS at the time said: “Keir knew nothing about it. We had a lawyer with a file with Jimmy Savile written on it … The reviewing lawyer was told there were several victims but that none of them were willing to attend court, so he closed the case. The reviewing lawyer should have asked for advice.”"

Someone forgot to do their homework.:>))))^^^^

Many people where fooled by JS even TGL but she wasn't presented with a boat load of evidence of his abuse was she?

Lets see if I can wriggle out of it, or at least the last word.:>)

Question Author

10:33 Rubbish, I knew about TGL not news to me. She was just one of many fooled by JS.

the Baroness of Bad Judgment, then...

Just another to fall under the spell of those hands and ankles.

None so blind...

Question Author

10:39, do try and keep up jno, TGL like the rest of us were not presented with a boat load of evidence of wrong doing and then chose to not prosecute. Geddit?

This thread smells of desperation. Tora is cementing his place as "the Tory Gully" with this one.

Nah, just another fanboy.

Agreed, TTT, there wasn't any evidence of just how eveil a person her 'friend' Saville was but lots of folk told the subject of all your wet dreams that Saville was a wrong 'un. Given the number of times she asked for him to be knighted, she must have believed him worthy of the honour.

She proved herself to be of very poor judgement.

Question Author

10:49, yes I agree she showed poor judgement on JS. I always thought he was a wrong un long before it all came out.

Just like her poor judgement in the Hillsborough scandal. Insufficient understanding of human nature and an I-am-right attitude.
