The answers are all towns, villages or hamlets in the historic counties of Berwickshire, Peebleshire, Roxburghshire and Selkirkshire.

58  This glen was a heavyweight (9)

When this question was asked here previously by Paige777, Bibster suggested "think of Glen as a singer"

Unfortunately I am still at a loss so would appreciate more help.  I can only think of Campbell.

Please note: This quiz was advertised on the roundup but did not mention at that time that it was a no asking quiz.  It is though once you've got it, on the bottom of the quiz sheet.  Please do not help me if you are unhappy with me asking.  This has long been debated on here without resolve.

58 Dingleton?

Question Author

Thank you so much Mally.  I did not find that place at all.  I'm really grateful.

Dingleton was a mental hospital near Melrose and is now closed .

Yes thanks Galasalmon.  A most interesting read.  I also found it as a village here:  https://getoutside.ordnancesurvey.co.uk/local/dingleton-scottish-borders

according to gazeteer it's a village in Roxburghshire scotland
