True nb1.  Poor chap had it spread to his lungs and brain.  He was given 6 monthsto live after diagnosis in 2020 so he did well to carry on so long.

Don't really want to divert from the really sad news about Jonnie but really 10Cs you are talking utter rubbish about a programme you say you've never seen!! Most people on the programme have scrimped to buy somewhere abroad and I'd describe the general demographic as 'working people' or 'retired working people'. Can't recall a single poser or showboater and many people end up buying a property they've been shown.

Yours is a very unfair and untrue description.

Sad news, he always seemed very pleasant  - I don't make a point of watching Escape  to the Sun, but caught him on it once or twice. We keep making advances against cancer - then it's proved that we are still helpless against it. RIP

I am not taking sides or looking for an arguement. But i used to quite like Place in the Sun. But it got to a point where a rich little girl for example would be on the show with her mum, looking for something for nothing. It became obvious she wasnt at all interested in buying anything in the 1st place!! then you´d get a couple on who spent the entire show complaining about how small the places were they were shown! Somebody else would expect a place right in the centre or on a really good bus route, for a song!!  I also had never heard of Jonnie Irwin! was he on the show a long time ago?  Ben Hillman, Laura Hamilton & Jasmine Harman are the presenters i am familiar with.
