Good morning everyone - saying nothing about the continuing heatwave here ....relief later in the week...

No straight to the other hot spot I have on my plate this morning .....

 A number of players including myself became aware that the Telegraph posted the Herculis puzzle 24 hours earlier than usual, putting anyone who doesn't subscribe at a distinct disadvantage.

Anyone who availed themselves of this were quite entitled to do so, however it became something of a dilemma when it came to scoring.

So I have made an executive decision  -  after consulting with Ziggi and Missie, I've decided to award all entries with 10 points regardless.

Any entry lodged before midnight Saturday will be given extra points for any correct matches in addition.

Short of declaring the round a wipe-out, I can't see a fairer way around it, and I sincerely hope this is a one-off, I hate to see us reduced to a midnight Saturday cut-off.
