1) One in club admitting "I hit the drink" (8) ?I?A?I?N. It would seem to have to be either LIBATION or BIBATION, as both mean "drink", but I have a problem with the parsing :- If "club admitting I" is BAT(I)ON, (I inside BATON), then "One in" and "hit" have to account for LI or BI, which doesn't make much sense. If "One in club admitting I hit" is L(IBAT)ION or B(IBAT)ION (IBAT being "I hit"), then "One in club" has to be LION or BION, which I don't get either.
2) Male reproductive organ's pet name (6) ?T?M?N. Looks like STAMEN, being a male botanical organ, but I don't understand "pet name" (even though the four letters of "name" appear in the answer).
3) CotW :- Last date's reason for not phoning? (8). (Originally by Filbert in The Independent).
