Bbc Quiz : Week 24
Good evening!
I hope that you're all well and you've been enjoying the glorious British summer weather that we've all been having lately. (Well, I can dream, can't I?)
I managed my usual 'middling' score of FOUR out of seven in the main quiz this week:

Middling again for me in the junior quiz, with THREE out of five.

Your turn!

Am preparing myself to become a staunch Slovakian supporter having drawn them in my workplace sweepstake. Don't have the highest hopes of progressing beyond the group stage but have familiarised myself with their flag.Puss Puss and Bailey needing snuggles this week due to the colder evenings. Hope all is good with you and yours
You've beaten me, yet again, Lie-in King!
Well done!
Snap, Haras2!
Chequers, Moonbeam and Tablo always keep me busy, particularly in the early hours of the morning when Chequers will inform me that he needs feeding!
I hope that life is being kind to you (and that you'll find a new feline companion soon).
Well done, indeed, Scorpiojo! Top of the table!
At least you avoided any disastrous scores, Campbellking!
Slovakia are 500/1 outsiders with most bookmakers at the moment.

So it might be just a little bit early to put the champagne on ice, I feel 😏 ⚽
Tablo insists upon a late night cuddle session each evening, and Chequers snuggles up alongside me when I'm in bed, but Moonbeam is still determined to stay outside as long as possible at the moment.
I hope that you, Puss Puss and Bailey will all have a lovely week!
It's 13 C and dropping! Interspersed with 'stair-rod' outbursts of rain. Never mind; it'll soon be the longest day and we can look forward to a warmer than average Winter (possibly!).
I managed to beat you (just) with 5/7 and3/5 - needless to say that guesses were involved.
France introduced cat chipping some years ago. It's quite painful for a cat as the chips are comparatively large. Minette got over it, of course. Also, of course, most people didn't bother and the population of feral cats certainly weren't interested!
Good Evening, Chris!
My scores are
5/7, 4/5
Been busy preparing for family weekend at mine for son's birthday and Father's day all in one. Was halfway through making my banoffee pie earlier when I realised I had forgotten the bananas!! One quick trek to local shop found ne back on track, thank goodness!!
It is always lovely to hear all your updates on Chequers, Moonbeam and Tablo. I love hearing your tales of what they have been up to - more please!
Wishing you and those fabulous kitties a wonderful week ahead :-)
Well done on beating me, Jourdain2!
I've been trying not to put the heating on here.
Tablo didn't seem too bothered when she was chipped a few months ago but, as she'd just gone an entire fortnight without food, she hadn't really got enough energy to protest anyway. (She was just glad to have her favourite human back with her, knowing that there'd be plenty of food available very, very soon!)
I've purchased a top-opening pet carrier to take the other two to the vets' surgery, as I've totally gven up on trying to get them inside and end-loading one!
Hi, Karamia!
Well done on taking joint top place!
Isn't a banoffee pie without bananas just a toffee pie? (I'd still like it anyway!)
The Troublesome Trio are much the same as usual except that, instead of just Tablo following me down to the local community centre bar on my visits there, all three of them seem to be competing to be the first to greet me when I come out. On Wednesday evening, Moonbeam raced down the path to greet me, doing a good cheetah impression. A miaow from nearby told me that Chequers wanted to come and join us. Then, finally, we encountered Tablo sitting in the middle of the path, with a look on her face which seemed to say "And just where have you been then? You know that you're not allowed out on your own!"
We all hope that you'll have a lovely week too!
Excuse, excuses, Ken!
Well done on beating me again, anyway!
