When you do puzzles regularly from the same source, you get to know the way the compilers' minds work and so solve them relatively easily. Move to a different publication and everything looks hard again.
Personally I do the Daily Telegraph cryptic in bed at night with a cup of coffee and find these relatively easy. The only other one I am familiar with is the Guardian. The main difference there is their fondness for linked clues and themes. Not my cup of tea. A colleague is learning to solve cryptic crosswords using the Dundee Courier. Not challenging enough for myself, a piece of cake.
