Good Morning Early Thursday Birds!
Well, very grey and windy here, tho they are promising some sunshine later! Yesterday late morning I was in my kitchen just looking out of the window onto a shrub outside when I saw something move, and when I looked closer I could see it was a Robin. Now I very rarely see birds in the garden but I put that down to having cats, but even rarer is to see a Robin - can't even remember the last time I saw one, but it really made me smile - they are just so pretty.
Had a hospital letter arrive yesterday too for an appointment I've been waiting for - the date is 10th April 2025!! Well I guess ai can't say they haven't given me enough notice!! LOL!

I don't have actual grass in my garden as it is all patio etc, with all shrubs and flowers in pots and flower beds, but where I live is full of green areas, parks, wooded areas, even all the roundabouts are all grass, tho everyone moans when they aren't mowed for a while and the grass gets too long lol. Some people just like moaning!
Ahh Thanku Rosetta, and for joining in! I have to confess that due to extreme insomnia the starting times vary quite a bit but at least I start it lol!
At the moment I'm reading ' The Woman Who Went to Bed for a Year' by Sue Townsend. Very funny and light-hearted. I've read it before, a long time ago, but it still makes me laugh. You should give it a try, I think you'd like it.
Good morning Smow and everyone.
Bit overcast here today, but my watch says it's 18C out there.
Might try a new knit and natter group at our local library today, though I did give it a go last week and they were a bit stand offish. I'll give it another go and see if the same happens again.
Have a good day all whatever you're up to :)
Good morning Smow and all. We have the same weather as you Smow. I don't think I'd trust my washing to the line today. We get quite a few complaints locally about rewilded verges obscuring sight lines when joining a major road. The rewilded strip in our garden currently features a lot of grass, a dandelion, something that may be a chive and some very robust daisies.
Morning Tilly. Nope the puddle mystery was never solved - I was almost wishing to wake up to another puddle just to prove I didn't imagine it lol!
oh definitely give it another try ferlew, maybe they're shy??
I have to admit impatiens that I do like the wild flower areas - look very natural, tho I do agree that on some of the grass verges etc they can get a tad TOO overgrown.
