LOL - That was the Olympic Flame being taken back to the stadium and blown out to mark the end of the games.

OK thanks. I wasn't paying much attention. I just saw a guy carrying a davy lamp and then they blew it out.

It was easy to drift off during that Closing Ceremony-dire in my opinion. 
 

I stopped watching when the opera singer kicked off, I was falling asleep anyway

Dull opening and even more dull ending. Went on too long. 

Who was that dreadful group?

Gyles Brandreth on TV this morning said the Opening Ceremony was longer than the Closing one: in fact it was still going on.
