Bus Pass Valid On 500 Express Bus To Glasgow Airport

Hi. There seems to be conflicting advice on getting free travel from Glasgow, Buchanan Street Bus Station to Glasgow Airport on the 500 Express bus. I have a Bus Pass, issued when I turned 60. Is this valid on not for free travel? Please advise.

It varies - your best bet is to ask the bus company (unless you're lucky and someone here has used that route with a pass).

yeah why ask us? I wd say no, as bus passes are for  local journeys. So my bro cd get to Manchester by takiing local buses ( to Crewkerne then yeovil, then Bath then Bristol.....) and after a few days cd arr Manchester

baldyhiggins has my sympathy. Concessionary ticket validity is a nightmare.

I once got a return ticket Portsmouth to Norwich with a Senior Railcard only to find that when I got to Liverpool Street I had to wait four hours for a valid travel time (or pay a full single fare Liverpool Street to Norwich).

^^^ That's got nothing to do with your use of a Senior Railcard, Canary42.  The rules apply to all holders of Off-Peak rail tickets:

Yes, Chris, quite correct, it was the Off-peak status which dropped me in it.  But concessionary passes are frequently rectricted to off-peak times, so in some repects are synonymous.
