yes ellie, but there's more than one way to spell the name, for eg, Clare. Its more phonetic i guess.

we're cross posting. Its a girls name 6 letters, ends with an E. Then put the the rear letter to the front to make a cake.

I get all that, but why is Eastern there?

because in cryptic crosswords etc Eastern = E , Southern/South would be S, North would be N, West would be W.

so if you look for a girls name, 6 letters ending in E, theres a lot, Jennie, Jessie, Nicole, Nellie etc. if you move the E to the front, there's no cake called Ejenni, Ejessi, Enicol, Enelli, the only one that works, is Eclair.
