i have a clue from times puzzle book which is" welcome scots turning on the waterworks(8) the answer is greeting but i cannot parse it and have no idea how it works. would some kind soul out the please help and explain. many thanks in advance adn kindest regards, ivan beal

Greeting is a welcome, and greet also means cry. (Turn on the waterworks).

'greeting' in scots means weeping in English.

hello cashier. thank you very much, i had no idea that it meant weeping in scottish, thank you very much i do appreciate your help
