Really disappointed in it except for the last 15 minutes or so.  My advice if you haven't seen it is to fast forward to there to save being bored!!!!

I've not watched it, ever...I'm allergic to James Corden.

I almost laughed, but then realised it wasn't funny !

I've never watched it, only seen snippets and couldn't even raise a smile.

Never watched it before but as there had been so much hype I gave it a go.  Trouble is, nothing sounded convincing as things people would actually say, just sounded like words on a page.  And his bride-to-be was such a monster I didn't believe Smithy would ever have gone out with her.

Incidentally, something I've been wondering about a lot recently.  How is it decided in TV dramas (and films) like this how much everyone gets paid?  There must mave been at least 30 speaking parts, so is it to do with amount of time on screen? Number of lines? Amount of time on set?  Number of days filming?

And who decides?

Never seen it, never will. Too banal for me.

I was looking forward to this, and was going to watch it after my Christmas guests had gone to bed. Then I saw it was an hour and half long. Too long.
I've gone to bed now.
Is it worth watching?

Never seen it!!! Saw little bits last night and it wasn't funny.

I thought it was very good. I suppose these things are always going to be a bit marmite. I think it helps if you've seen the whole series. I re watched the last one to get into context.

Well it wasn't Shakespeare.

Really disappointed in it except for the last 15 minutes or so.  My advice if you haven't seen it is to fast forward to there to save being bored!!!!

Totally agree Kustard.  But even in those final 15 minutes there weren't any good laughs, and G&S is supposed to be a classic comedy

Very true Theblip.  The majority of us seem to agree.  I was going to watch it today but knew I wouldn't be able to resist looking at comments about it this morning so watched it live and wasted 1.5 hours of my life!!!!

She played Dawn...  what on earth has she done to her face?  She just looked bloated and so different.  Whst is wrong with these people?  I wouldn't have recognised her.

Sorry I mean Julia Davis.

I thought the same of the actors playing Gavin and Stacey.  They've aged badly and piled on the pounds

People get old. Read all abaht it.

I enjoyed it.

It rounded off everything perfectly.

Sorry, I don't watch anything with Corden in it.

You need to watch from the beginning to fully understand the outcome. I thought the it was very well written, funny, sad, a roller coaster of emotions. Ruth Jones and James Corden should be very proud of this clever, last episode. We thoroughly enjoyed it!

I especially enjoyed the usual "fishing boat" incident nearly got explained again! I think a lot of the detractors have just watched this in isolation. You need to watch the whole series to appreciate the nuances and traditions. I quite enjoyed it and I thought they really resolved it all well in the end.
