Haven't watched for a while but great to watch tonight without Jay Blades and his inane questions to the people who bring in their treasures.

He isn't missed

I watched it last night and thought the same.  He isn't missed at all.

It's time for a change, then? Does the programme really need a 'presenter'? It seems to be working OK without one.

It has changed, this is a new series without Jay Blade's role.

We have been watching some older episodes on i Player and it is remarkable how many times Jay Blades takes over the reveal from the folk who have done the repairs and seems to take the credit , we do not miss him from the new series either

To be fair he only did what the director told him to.

What channel is it on and what time?

It's on BBC1 8pm Wednesdays but all episodes are on iPlayer

Barry @ 7.48 fair enough

In series one, the opening credits narration is 'Welcome to Repair Shop...home to furniture restorer Jay Blades.  Working alongside Jay is a team of experts...'  I think he was supposed to have a much bigger role than it fizzled down to.
