I have a quiz question where you have to supply the next 2 in the sequence. The sequence is;
Charing Cross, Tottenham Court Road, Goodge Street, Warren Street
The obvious answer would be Euston, Mornington Crescent as the next 2 stations on the Northern Line.
My concern is the omission of Leicester Square in the original list. Can anyone think of a reason for this omission which might change my proposed answer?
I am loath to think that the question setter has made a mistake (it's too obvious for this).

The A400 runs north from Trafalgar Square. All the places/streets mentioned are on or join the A400. Leicester Square isn't - the station is, but the Square is a little to the east if I'm reading my ABC correctly.
This would make the next two Mornington Crescent and Camden Town - Euston being well off route.
Asking Samantha would invoke the Abercrombie paradox which is disallowed.
