It was previously suggested on here that the answer might be Sweet Pea.

The reasoning was that Matt Groening based his character Maggie Simpson on Popeye and Olive Oyl's baby - Sweet Pea.

this is driving me nuts as well. I spent a lot of time in the garden....if it's a plant, most likely its an Ivy, but cant find one at the moment, but I'm still looking...the Matt's thing is puzzling..It's not a Mat, probably an abbreviation of Matthew, so could be linked to a disciple, it's certainly not Jacobs Ladder
