Has anyone who did the Christmas quiz involving a question which asked what the profession of the good Samaritan was actually now seen the answer?
I ask because I pointed out at the time that the Bible - at least the King James' Version - simply does not say what his profession was.
I suggested the people who did the quiz might come back to us here and tell us what the quiz-setters imagined the answer was. So far, I have not seen any such revelation.
Anyone know?

The answer was MERCHANT, Quizmonster.

Whenever you compile a quiz, you have to get some of your questions from "reliable sources" - can't be expected to actually know everything.

You confuse me, Jenny. I should have thought the most "reliable source" regarding a biblical story would have been the Bible itself! Yet, the major Bible translation into English makes no mention of the Samaritan's profession at all, as I said above and earlier when the question was posted on AnswerBank.
Have I misunderstood or am I to gather from your response that you created the quiz concerned? If so, I'd still be delighted to find out which source said he was a merchant, if you know the answer to that.
