online ps2 burnout revenge
2 Answers
when i connect to the internet via my playstation2 and try to play burnout revenge i keep getting the error message "port 3658 is closed, your firewall is blocking the connection"...I have allowed this port to be opened in my firewall (norman) to both udp and tcp, incoming and outgoing, all applications, all addresses, but i couldnt get it to work. i also turned off my firewall, and still not working. i switched to windows firewall and done the same...allowed the connection, but no joy again. Ive contacted microsoft to see if it is a problem with xp sp2 but it wasnt...i have contacted my modem supplier to see if it was firewalled...it isnt...i contacted my firewall supplier, but they said its not the firewall if i uninstalled it and tried again...so i did this and still the same message. i am in the middle of a mile long explination with Eagames, and they cant figure it out.Im connecting my playstation 2 with an ethernet adapter kit, and crossover cable, it is linked into my pc and it shares an internet connection via my HD and a zoom usb modem (model 5510a). my windows platform is xp with sp2.thing that bothers me the most is that i managed to connect this game with no problems about 2 weeks ago, but now it refuses to work, and i have no problems connecting any other online game i use. i have no router, so this isnt a problem. and i havent changed any of the settings on my computer from when i managed to connect. I have tried my hardest to get a solution for this, but no matter what happens i still cant open port 3658 for online play.
