Working at festivals/events
Hi there, after 10 years of office based work and a couple of years pursuing a range of retail, event, cafe, etxra acting etc etc work I know that I am best suited to people orientated jobs. I am lucky to have strong communication/people skills and have the ability to get on with anyone, but seem to never quite find my job niche....I'm thinking along the lines of festivals and events but in the down to earth sense, working with 'real' people ...not corporate...I just want to do something that I can be me! Sorry this is so vague but if anyone has any advice or found themselves in a similar situation then I'd love to know!

Basically, you get free festival entry in return for helping at one of the stalls and advising people of what they're trying to achieve etc.

although I don't think the details will be added until closer to the time. I think Oxfam does a similar thing too. Hope this helps
Thanks for that gwennie193!
I have been thinking that I want to work for an environmental organisation or similar as I really want to do something that actually contributes to the future, not just the here and now.
It's so frustrating when you can't pin point what it is that you want to do in life!
Thanks again.
