subscribe or not subscribe

Why is it that the subscribe + unsubscribe options only come up on other questions to my own. I am still not geting email notifications when I post a question. I have emailed AB Ed. but he has not answered me.

the subscribe button is for other people to suscribe to your question by answering it, you can still post a reply to your own question or give a thankyou to an answer, but why would you want to subscribe to your own question? As for e mail notification, just press the refresh button to see if anyone has answered your question. Problem solved!

Thanks jan1956, will do but before when an answer appeared I was emailed. This is not now happening so I have to scroll through All most recently answered to find my question which may be a day or so old. Do I make sence?

Hi elderly, you can access all your Q�s, Answers, Subscribed threads etc through the �My Profile� feature even if you don�t get the e-mails.
