in most indians you usually get a coconut dip (usually coloured green, red etc), a mango chutney which tastes really sweet, a lime pickle which is pretty hot, a ceramy mint dip (usually white) and a bowl of sliced onions, tomatoes, cucumber etc

could be one of those with colouring added

The mint dip which is traditionally eaten with very spicy food to cool your pallette. Just get some natural yoghurt, chop up some mint leaves and mix in.

To experiment, you could always add a few drops of lemon/lime juice and some chopped cucumber....even a bit of honey,

Is it called Ratia ?

thanks :)

Actually I think what they serve in restaurants is yogurt (watered down) with some mint sauce.

Though a rather yummy raita is, yougurt with grated cucumber, pinch of salt, black pepper, a little garlic powder and a little ground cumin powder.

The orange one is most certainly mango chutney.
