Hi all, I've taken a look at similar posts dating back to Nov and July last year but still looking for the one! My wife is due in 5 weeks and we are really struggling for boys name, we seem to have a long list of girls names that we both adore but are struggling on the male front! What are your favourites? Many thanks!

My favs are ones that begin with J - Jake, Joshua, Jack, Jamie etc. Do you want a name that has meaning or a name from a different culture e.g. celtic?

My favourite boys names are as follows:

Aidan, Benjamin, Callum, Cameron, Daniel, Dillon/Dylan, Jack, Jacob, Joel, Joseph, Joshua, Liam, Luke, Matthew, Nathan, Oliver, Ryan and Thomas!!!

Any there that you like!?

Good luck with names and the new baby!

Hi there, i had exactly the same problem as you. i really struggled with boys. my first choice was Alfie but then i went off that one. I love Elliot but my husband didn't!! We settled on Kieron in the end. It was between that and Nathan. I love the name Archie now too.My eldest son is called Liam and i still love that and never had a problem in choosing that one.I think its such an important thing cause its forever. Good luck with your new little one!! (boy or girl)

hi good luck on your new arrival, personally i like the boys biblical names although im not religeous. I like Harvey,Jacob,Isaac,Caleb, and William. I always think it's harder to pick boys names rather than girls. At the end of the day you might pick a name but the baby might not suit it.

Hi mats my favourites are Adrian,Dylan,Mitchell,Alex,Jack, luke,Nathan,Keiran

We had the same trouble too but agreed on either Keiran for a boy or Kayla for a girl. So Kayla it was.

Have fun and Good Luck

The only boy's name we could agree on was Owen.

i love the boys James or jamie. If i have a boy i'm def ganna call him one of those. :-)

One of my favorite boys names...and it took a while for it to grow on me, but now I love it!! JAX

I just want to add with the name JAX. Its adorable for when he's a little boy, but it's very sutable for when he grows to be a man. Its strong, sexy, and confident.

Some of my favourites are (nearly randomly!):

Alex, Daniel, Luke (or Lucas), Oscar, Ben, Jake, William, Joshua, Archie, Cameron, Drew, Oliver, Samuel, Connor, Liam, Zach, Harry, Jamie, Brandon, Kieran.

Good luck. We found that we didn't decide until our son was actually born - we had discussed names, but needed to see that little face and the name we chose just seemed right.

Good luck with the impending birth and name choosing!!

I like: Alan - James - Harry - Jack - Oliver - Jay & Alex

(My husband is Alan & our Grandson is James).

dancelot13 - a friend of ours named their son Dax. We all thought it rather odd at the time, but it soon grew on us.

Oh my god you must be so excited!! Joshua is a favourite, or Dylan. only thing with name is that they are always shortened aren't they? so you have to consider what they will be shortened to!! 'Dil' isnt quite as nice as Dylan, although suppose its quite cute for a baby!! Good Luck to you and your wife!!

Wishing you & your wife all the very best for an easy birth.

Let's know whether it's a boy or a girl & of course the name/s you choose.

Thanks all, there's certainly a few in there that I like the sound of. You're all very kind!. I will keep you posted

Nathan, Harri, Benjamin, Noah, Joshua, Mason, Adam, Luke, Louis, Taylor, Matthew, Tate....we've always had far more boys names in mid than girls....i'm sure i'll think of some i've forgotten as soon as i've posted this! Be sure to take into accoutn any middle names you add as some combinations just don't work as much as you want them too and also you don't want their initials to spell out something awful as this has plagued my brother for years! Make sure you let us know what you decide. Good luck!
Lloyd, definitely Lloyd; i don't know what it means though, but it sounds solid
Lucas is my favourite. I actually like Luke but it doesn't go with my partners surname!

my sons names are Benedict (ben) and Dominic (dom)

Hope this helps

Iz

My personal faves are Beau (Bo), Rafe, Bailey and Taylor .

All the best.
