Hi, I've just checked out your link for the Prospect Magazine crossword. It looks like a good one. I wonder if they accept the print-out version mailed as an entry. If you don't know, I'll maybe try it anyway as I've never heard of the magazine.
Regards geo.

Eash issue covers a broad range of subjectsincluding politics, arts and culture, science, economics, history, social affairs and philosophy.
All of which you can read on AB or in the papers.!!
I think it is only available by subscription.
I just print it off and send it in and put my name and address on the bottom of the page.I would imagine they would accept the entry from a print out. There doesn't seem to be anything to say you can't .Out of interest I have emailed them to ask and will get back to you.So keep an eye on this thread.

I haven't had a response to my email but I did notice that another user had won a prize for the Generalist and had obviously sent it in on a printed copy from the web. As they said ,they had stumbled across it on the internet the same as I did.
I would send it in and hope for the best .
If it wasn't acceptable I don't think they would put it up on their website . Also some people may probably collect the magazine and not want to spoil their copy by cutting out the crossword. So they use a print out.
I bet they get more entries this month than ever before !
Good luck if you do send it in.

Hi shaney, thanks again for keeping in touch. I checked out the magazine website and think it's worth a go. It's all more grist to the mill after all.
I also saw the posting from the person who won it. I've won a number of prizes over the years, but never without any intimation of thier source ( the Independent even sent me two dictionaries). I would say you're right about the amount of new entries this month
Thanks again geo.
