26a Ancient town in Tyne & Wear that many people believe is the site of King Arthur's Camelot (9) -a-e-h-a- I can only come up with Gateshead, but can't find any evidence of this - does anyone know? Thanks

Google Gateshead + Camelot and look at the Wikipedia answers ---- Saltwell Park in Gateshead
I've lived all my life just across the river and have never heard of Gateshead's connection to Camelot. Gateshead is known locally as 'the sooty road to Newcastle' but I shall view it in a new light from now on!
