Foreign currency
I've found some unused foreign currency at the bottom of a drawer and was going to change it back into sterling. However its US Dollars from about 10 years ago and i wanted to check it was still legal tender before i make an idiot of myself trying to change it back! Is there a website which shows pictures of currencies that are current legal tender? I know that travel agents usually have a book that they use to double check when they're not sure but wanted to look myself at home. I've tried the Travelex website but can't see anything relevant.
Hope this makes sense!

e.g. a $1 bill printed in 1923 is acceptable as legal tender for a transaction even though a collector may well buy/sell such a note for more than its face value.
