Christmas tunes
This follows on from a question about our favourite Christmas tunes. Why is it that all our favourite Christmas tunes seem to come from the 70s and 80s, or even earlier, eg Slade, Greg Lake, Wizzard, Wham and, dare I say it, Cliff Richard? And when I say 'Christmas tunes' I mean those that actually mention Christmas in some way, and not those that just happened to be number 1 at Christmas time. I don't recall any from the 90s. Do artists these days think it a bit naff to sing about Christmas? The bands from days gone by seem to have done all right by it!

Jonah Lewie's is nothing to do with Christmas, nor traditional In Dulce Jubilo or indeed, Frosty the Snowman or Jingle Bells so come on you songwriters.. I'm out on a limb here, cos I haven't checked all the lyrics so feel free to correct me. merry Christmas.
