Are most answerbank answer-ers arrogant?

Why is it that when a question is asked on here, you get come smartarse correcting your spelling mistakes or grammatical errors. Who allowed the really funny cleverdicks who apparently have to make a wise-crack at every opportunity. I'm all for freedom of speech and expression but I think this site is developing a culture of know-it-all idiots (a euphemism for something more extreme) who think they can facetiously answer our questions. Get a life, a simple answer will do thank you.

Hi amulet this has happened to me , someone correcting something i have wrote , i think what it is with me is that i am so used to shortening things because of text messaging i just shorten things automatically.I don't mind if they want to correct it .

I'm a newbie, and I do have a thing about spelling and grammar. But unless questions are specifically about SPaG then I try to ignore their mistakes because the mistakes aren't important.

Hi amulet, i am afraid i don't take alot of the stuff on here seriously enough and often my answers are quite flippant, but i arrogantly continue to respond that way and i thoroughly enjoy it, which i guess makes me selfish too, but i participate in this site for enjoyment not peer approval. :)

i can understand that the point of this site is to get an answer to a question, and if you knew the answer, there is a sense of elitism because you feel that you know something that someone else doesn't and i believe people have the right to be as arrogant as they like, because if you're good at something then why not share the knowledge, but theres a difference between giving the answer to the question and a series of supposedly funny remarks. So dot.hawkes you're here for the enjoyment of being arrogant or knowing you can help someone?

well amulet. like everyone else on here, i am here because i pay my internet fee and have a computer, it's up to each individual to use this site as they choose, there are rules, and i break them occasionaly but with little harm done, it is recreational after all.

yeh ok, i pay an entry fee to get into a nightclub, but the disruptive ones get ejected...it doesn't mean that because i've paid my entry free that I should be disruptive on the basis that I've paid to get in here, I can do what I like...

I see that the Spellmaster aka wordbutcher has raised his ugly head again.I am really not bovvered by spelling mistakes or incorrect grammar.As long as you get the gist of a question this is fair enough. We are not all fifty words a minute accurate speed typists.A lot of older people on here are more used to pen and paper.
If you can share a bit of knowledge and have a bit of banter whilst doing it ..what's the problem.
i admit there are some arrogant people on here..people probably think I'm arrogant....I couldn't give a stuff.
Dot and I are so helpful and arrogant we are impersonated all the time!!

Thers is a simple solution to all this,ask ED toput up a spell check before a post,however will it be american or english

It was actually dot.hawkes ,dma and some of the others who got me in to this site (Unbeknown t them ) .I googled to find out if a certain footballer was gay and it brought me here. I used to find the banter on here funny so i thought i would join. At the moment i am hooked.

You will have sarcasm and banter you get that in life. Not everyones going to agree with you. Got to be honest i have found it ok on here so far .

Amulet ask a question ,just take the notice ,you will always find genuine people who will help.For every bad answer you get off somebody you will prob get 3 good ones see my point.
