Perhaps this is a play on words too far but what about Torbay... Taw is a way of playing marbles by flicking it out of the hand by the thumb...bay = cove...Would this constitute a place or do they need to be towns . If this a stupid reply, in my defense, I'm not hot on cryptic. xx

Macduff for #4 ?
I think the answer to 2 is Purbeck - Purbeck Cove (in Dorset), gives its name to Purbeck Marble, a form of limestone which can be polished to resemble marble.

Toilet with large wreath on it could be Waterloo.

Ancient victor above Aberdeen is probably the town of Macduff - it's above Aberdeen on the map, and the character of that name beats Macbeth in Shakespeare's play.
